On March 18, 2006, Northwest VEG held its Second Annual VegFest: A Compassionate Living Fair. The event inspired and educated approximately 1,000 attendees, with an emphasis on the impact of our food choices and compassionate action. Here are some of the scenes from the event. Julie Hasson, a baker and cookbook author, drew a large crowd to her "Chocolate Nirvana" demo that involved creative preparation of various flavors of vegan truffles. (CK)

Howard Lyman's talk "Eating the Earth, A Bite at a Time" attracted a large crowd to hear the Mad Cowboy recall his experiences before and after his life as a Montana cattle rancher. (KM)
