  • Unitarian Universalist Church of Vancouver 4505 East 18th Street Vancouver, WA, 98661 United States (map)

STRANDS OF COMPASSION

Christoph Wagner, cello
Joanne Kong, piano
With featured guest, singer-songwriter Daniel Redwood

Christoph Wagner  and Joanne Kong weave together music, reflections and imagery to illuminate how embracing the connections we have to the natural world and all beings can bring about transformative spiritual growth, positive change and planetary healing. The internationally-acclaimed duo has given this presentation at Unitarian Universalist churches around the country, praised for “exceptional technical ability and artistry, and also heartfelt playing and deep soulful connection to the music, the audience, and all beings”. Attendees were so moved and remarked that they "experienced the spirit of life through Joanne and Christoph’s music and reflections.” The presentation will include a selection by Portland songwriter Daniel Redwood. All these vegan artists have found powerful ways to use their creative skills to advocate for veganism and the animals, and this will be a truly unique event. Donations are welcome.

Joanne Kong has a great TEDx video on YouTube titled The Power of Plant-Based Eating linked here. You can also get a sense of the quality of their music on this YouTube video.
