NW VEG Westside Potluck and Anti-Inflammatory Cookbook with/by Linda Tyler

  • West Hills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship 8470 Southwest Oleson Road Portland, OR, 97223 United States (map)

Our own Linda Tyler, the Gracious Vegan, has a new cookbook just released on February 6, 2024. Come hear her talk about the foods that can help prevent and reverse inflammation. Linda is an engaging speaker, and her recipes have graced many Northwest VEG newsletters. She will have copies of her new book, The Plant-Based Anti-Inflammatory Cookbook, available for purchase at the potluck and online, and will have desserts from her cookbook for you to taste.

Systemic inflammation can play a dangerous role in chronic diseases, many types of cancer, and even weight gain. The Plant-Based Anti-Inflammatory Cookbook delivers eighty plant-based recipes centered around foods known to fight against inflammation: ginger, turmeric, berries, garlic, citrus, and high-fiber foods such as legumes and whole grains.

You can come just to the potluck at 5:00 pm, Linda's presentation which will start at 6:15 pm, or both. For the potluck, please bring a plant-based (no meat, eggs, dairy, honey, or other animal products) main dish, salad, or dessert; a card listing its ingredients; and plates and utensils for your use. You can make the dish yourself or bring store-bought food. If you come alone, figure the amount to serve 4-6; increase the amount 4 servings for each additional person in your party/family. Northwest VEG potlucks are alcohol-free events.
